WHAT WILL IT COST?

Okay, I know this is the big question. You want to know what it will cost.

Due to the fact that each book is different I cannot give set fees in advance. I must see the manuscript and compile an estimate. There is no charge for an estimate.

Once the estimate has been agreed upon we have entered into a contract with all fees to be paid as explained in the estimate.

The estimate will be for the design of your interior and cover/jacket. It does not include having to manually typeset your copy, scanning of any art, reparing damaged images, or setting complex tables and charts, or author alterations. These will need to be added as extra fees.

If you are not confident in your scanning abilities I can do it for you for an additional charge of $5.00 per image.

If you are not comfortable doing photo retouching I can do it for additional charges. Depending on the complexity of the damage to the image the price for retouching will vary from a flat fee of $10 to an hourly charge of $50.

Author Alterations will be charged at $50 per hour.

If charts or tables cannot be provided as art and require typesetting there will be an additional charge for each chart/table. Charts and tables are very time consuming to set and cannot be considered as part of the regular text.

All shipping charges will be paid by the author.

Should additional art be necessary through a stock agency the author is to pay all fees. I will also charge an hourly fee of $50 for time spent researching the stock agencies for your art.

To save yourself money do your groundwork before you come to me.

All payments will be through PayPal. Upon completion of the job I will send you an invoice and require a direct transfer payment within three days. Once I know the money has been transferred I will ship you your disk with your press ready files. I know this might seem unreasonable, but let’s admit it...we don’t know each other. You are not like one of my corporate clients. We are doing this job together expecting to trust each other. I will have done a lot of work for you and until we have a working relationship I will need to know I will get paid for my work. I take pride in my work and my truthfulness to my clients.

Yes, I know…things start to add up quickly. You have to keep in mind what you want to create and ask yourself if you're worth it.

After all of your years doing research
I think you're worth it!
